intuit
scaling new heights conference

In June of 2012, we attended our first annual Scaling New Heights Conference. Joe Woodard, the Conference Host decribes Scaling New Heights as a unique, Intuit-centric training experience that provides practical and in-depth professional education, networking opportunities among the nation's most successful QuickBooks consultants and resources that empower us to:
  • Master Intuit products and selected products that integrate with QuickBooks
  • Expand the consulting services that we offer to our clients
  • Grow our practice
  • Maximize professional relations
Scaling New Heights is considered by many to be the nation's premier training event for Intuit and QuickBooks Advisors. Hundreds of QuickBooks Pro Advisors and Intuit Solution Providers were there, and we were excited to be a part of this awesome event!

welcome to nashville, tennessee

All of the the attendees stayed at the Marriot Renaissance Hotel right in the heart of Nashville. The hotel was gorgeous and the accomodations comfortable, and the hotel staff made us all feel welcome and right at home.

Our first night there, we stepped out on the streets of Nashville and had dinner at Rippy's where I think we may have tasted some of the best pulled pork ever! As we ate, we were "seranaded" by a live band playing, but of course, country music to welcome us to the country music capital of the world.

conference highlights

The theme of this year's conference was embracing the newest that the "world of accounting technology has to offer, including running our businesses "in the cloud", which means we can run our business and serve our clients anytime, anywhere, anyplace.

Throughout each day, we attended several breakout sessions a day on topics like:

  • QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Exam Preparation
  • Troubleshooting QuickBooks: Top 10 Errors
  • QuickBooks Tips, Tricks and Processes
  • Maximixing the Value of Your Client Relationships
  • Developing a High Performance Team

In the evenings, we attended socials and walked through the Exhibit Hall, where we visited booths and participated in demos from various Intuit Solution Providers including Bill.com, Unidata and SpringAhead, all QuickBooks integration software that we have now begun implementing for both our firm and our clients.

Overall, this was an awesome event which our team used as a stepping stone to expanding and fine-tuning our services to continue to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients. We found attending this event to be so productive and eventful, that we've already made plans to attend this conference yearly!
